These pieces can be used as bookends or just home decor. The base of each piece was made out of sofa feet that were picked up in Roswell, NM in September 2017. They were stained white and treated with the ancient Japanese technique of shou sugi ban, then clear coated. The grainer gear part was picked at Renninger's Antique Extravaganza in Mount Dora, FL in November 2017. They were cleaned and clear coated to stop any further oxidation.
The base is six inches in diameter. The round grainer stands about 9.5" Tall. The other stands about 8.5" Tall. They were sealed into the sofa feet with black epoxy.
Each one weights about four pounds.
Imperfections may exist due to being handmade.
